Not sure when this happened, but the reports are that all are or will be fine, only minor injuries. |

Yes that happened here.
I saw it on the local news last night but it happened a few weeks ago. The video is from a red light camera - they were unsure how it made it's way on to you tube. That is why it was on the news again. |
Hopefully that truck wasn't needed for a fire. |
I saw this on CNN this morning. I almost choked on my coffee when I saw it. They said the city was upset it was leaked to the public and you tube...
LOL.... |
What I want to know is why are they headed in different directions?
The fire department's spokesperson (the Chief, maybe?) said they might have been distracted looking at the smoke coming from the fire. So if they were that close, one of them perhaps should have been turning there. Maybe one driver took a wrong turn. Notice the two pedestrian bystanders. One in the foreground is just standing on the corner leaning against a tree; he runs for it (smart!) when the accident happens, and looks like he is coming back into the picture as the clip ends. Who stands leaning against a tree on a deserted street corner, looking away from the flow of traffic (ie not at a bus stop or waiting for someone)? At least he came back to check on things... one can hope. The other one is on the far corner. He sees the fire truck coming and when the accident happens, he turns and walks slowly away. I'm guessing this isn't in the best section of town and that they are both up to no good of some sort, perhaps lookouts. Who saunters away from an accident like that? Someone who doesn't want to be around when the police arrive. |
holy cow! several yrs ago when brian was at the airport, one of his coworkers tipped a foam truck.....lets just say he retired early |
