Quin has an appointment on Monday with the vet but, I noticed his lymph nodes were swollen a few days ago. I didn't go nutty at first as he has horrible allergies I thought it may be an infection. I put him back on the normal meds and they have gone down is size but, not enough for me to not worry! I am hoping to high heaven this is not Lymphoma. I am scared.....he is acting totallly normal! I shouldn't compare but, this is totally what Kissy had. (as far as symptoms, she really had none) Quin just turned 5 and I know that doesn't matter but, he needs to be with me much longer! Any thoughts or experiences would be greatly appreciated. |

Lymph nodes are trash cans for the body. Usually they go away after time , but not always. My son has some fom strep in 1985 that have never gone away.
You are wise to get them checked out. Insist on a biospy or even better, removal of the lymph node so you will know one way or the other. A friend of mine is fighting melanoma. Melanoma is treatable but rarely found early enough to be curable. After a month of heavy chemo (daily IV) and some weight loss, the wife found an enlarged node above the original site. The oncologist sat them down for a serious talk before the surgeon removed the node. Everyone was expecting it to bad news as my friend is already early stage 4 and they would stop treatment if it had spread. It came back negative, a true miracle. Here's hoping for the same results that my friend got. |
so what did the vet say |
