Animals are adopted out on a first come, first serve basis. If you want to adopt an animal that you see up on Petfinder - you can call and put down a $90 non refundable deposit that will be your adoption fee when you adopt, or you can come straight to the shelter. We will only hold animals with the deposit.Dogs under 25 pounds are adopted out as indoor pets only. We require that dogs adopted out to be outside dogs have a fenced yard and a doghouse, or other shelter from the weather. Dogs that are adopted from the Waco Humane Society are are vet checked, spayed/neutered, micro chipped, and receive a free rabies shot coupon. The adoption fee is $90.
