LOL - have a wonderful time. I was there on a botanical trip in college, which was a very long time ago. I still have wonderful memories and a great mental picture of all the fun things we did while there. |

abc stores carry all the coffee brands....plus tons of other junk....think of it as a glorified 7-11..... i usually bring long sleeve t-shirts, shorts, comfy skirts, tennis shoes, sandals and 1 pair of heels... the hotels and resturants are usually a/ced and chilly....nights are cool too...during the day, you should be wearing nothing but your bathing suit! |

| We're going to the Big Island for the entire trip. Right now we are booked for 7n nights at Prince Hotel's Hapuna Beach Resort. I'm looking at the Outrigger Keahou Beach Resort for the first few nights as it's less expensive. Has anyone stayed there?
This year I went through my entire shorts drawer. I didn't realize until the midle of the summer that all but one pair of shorts were too tight in the waist or the hips My tush kind of shifted down and out this past year from where it was before. I hate shopping because nothing ever fits right so I didn't bother looking for anything. Well, now I have nothing...I plan to go to Kohl's or Sports Authority to look for athletic shorts. I LOVE ELASTIC WAISTS! How old am I, right? |

In Kona, be sure to take Capt Bean's "Booze" Cruise for dinner. All food and entertainment is included as well as the bottomless barrel of mai tais. Price is not bad. If you can, stop by the Wiakaloa Resort just to look around. Quite an adult fantesyland. Absolute must-see! Volcano National Park. If you have a rental car you can drive up to the visitors' center and look into the crater. Awesome! Last I heard, lava was still flowing all the way from the crater to the ocean, more than 15 miles away. Many motor coach tours are offered if no car. |
