Andy~~~June 17th 1994-October 17th 2008
It was soooo hard to come home tonight knowing he wouln't be here. His beds are empty now and there is a deafening quiet with no sounds of dog tags rattleling, no sounds of him at his water bucket, no sounds of him walking throughout the house...and the hardest of all....no happy greeting at the door.  The only thing that comforts us is knowing he is not suffering any longer and he is with his sheepie sister Roxy and his cocker brother, Max.

| I was looking threw your pictures hoping to see Andy. What a darling boy. I can only imagine how very sad you are as you read this. There are no words of comfort I'm afraid. Just knowing you gave him your love and kindness and he's is safe and pain free now. |

| Thank you for all your kind words....they are vey comforting.
Well it will be a week tomorrow that we lost him. We did manage to empty out his water bucket and put it away.....just haven't gotten to putting his beds away yet. I will go and pick up his ashes and paw print tomorrow....that will be hard. Our vet sent the prettiest flower arrangement. She is the greatest!! She knows losing Andy was particularly hard on us not only because we loved him so very much...but because he was the last of the 3 original pets we got when we first started our lives together 21 years ago. But....I told her that someday when we are able to open our hearts to another dog....we will be back. For now we are "childless". WOW...what a change!! We are planning a trip somewhere to get away...but my mom had to go to the hospital yesterday so we will leave in a few days an not today like we had planned.....but it will be nice to get out of here for a while. 
Well.....back to the hospital I go. |
