I am happy to say he has progressed and now weighs about 36,5 kgs about 80 lbs, his eyes and ears are healed, his coat is coming nicely and he has at last learned to trust us, he knows his place is in our home and not left out in a garden day and night, in his eight shows he has been awarded 4 Challange Certificates. I have had him X-rayed and I was enlightened to learn he was passed as HD A, his eye check was carried out in June and his eyes are free from any illnesses (Eyes clear), today I had a BAER test done and the result showed he is Right OK, Left OK, the last hurdle now is to have him passed by a German judge for breeding which is just a matter of formality. All his results can be forund in our Website under Zorro's Portfolio, this young boy has turned out to be a beautiful example of an Old English Sheepdog. My thanks once again to Elissa for putting me in contact with his former owner, I am sure you have saved his life and he is thankful to be treated like this breed should be treated and is now part of a family who love and cherish him. |

Well done to Elissa who did a great job, but also a huge well done to you Stewart for taking this boy and spending time with him, getting him back to good health and taking him on to win 4 CC's.

Zorro is a very lucky dog. Wow, he is up to 80lbs! What a hunk. lol Zorro is, indeed, a shooting star. You have done wonders with that beautiful sheepie boy. You should be proud of yourself. |

Lucky Zorro |
In reply to you WHO want to ignore the thread regarding stopping showing, this post is meant seriously, I will continue to show in some European countries but no longer in Germany. It cost to much money to visit shows and have him ruined by bad judging. By the way I still intend to visit Scotland with him end of March next year showing in the Scottish OES Championship Show. We had a double show this weekend in Germany and his breeder was intending showing him which I agreed to but our Scallywags all have kennel cough. |
As long as you don't quit altogether Stewart...it would be a terrible waste. |
I'm so glad to hear of Zorro's accomplishments! Its wonderful what our companions can achieve with a little love and support (okay, alot of work there too!)
And Tonks and Luna agree; he's quite the dreamy hunk |
Stewart,
I am so happy that you will still be showing Zorro in Europe. I know he will soon be a Champion. What I did for Zorro was the easy part. You have done all the hard work. Great job, both you and Zorro!! Sending big kisses and hugs to Zorro. |
