one just opened by me and i have to say that it is awesome! Now, it is not the store to do full grocery shopping but they do have great deals on wine, fresh fish and meat (which gets marked down at the end of every day), and the best salad dressings....i LOVE the cilantro dressing..its great over grilled fish!! http://www.freshandeasy.com/ |
|
personally, the title ........intrigued me!!!
I was wondering where it would lead! |
I think there's one opening near my parents, but as far as I know they don't have them out here. It sounds like a good place, though! I'm just excited that in the past month both Trader Joe's and Whole Foods has opened here. Finally, entering the 21st century... |
For our UK friends, the Fresh and Easy chain is owned by Tesco. Bigger than a Tesco Express, but smaller than a full sized (enormous) US super market.
I was in London last week and the Tesco Express near my hotel saved me a bundle of money. Darcy, we have several in the SE Valley but none close to my house. I wish they would open one here. We have one of the new WalMart Marketside stores, which is supposed to compete with Fresh and Easy, but I refuse to support WalMart. |
eeek! i HATE walmart.....i wouldnt step in one even if they had the last pair of shoes on earth!
you gotta stop in a fresh and easy though.....i LOVE the salad dressings! oh and the other night i made seared ahi tuna (2 large steaks ..for $ 6.00), asian slaw using one of those dressings and some peapods...dang, it was good enough to rival a resturauant! |
Fresh and Easy is a good store. They have very high standards for their products (and that's all I can say). |
How much for tuna?? Wow!
I just bought a wedding ring at WalMart! After 35 years of going w/o because of weight gain, I decided it's easier to buy one than lose all the weight (tho we know which is better for me.) Yes you can resize wedding rings, but not 4 or 5 sizes Now we'll see if DH even notices. He was crest fallen when I even mentioned it a few days ago. No diamonds, just a plain cheap gold ring....men's size.....ahem. |
Can you have the diamond reset on top of your new band?
yeah, fish is a smokin' deal! i sprinkled some cracked black pepper and seared it in some sesame oil...oh it was soooo goood! |
I think the diamonds are bigger than the band! We aren't talking anything really very expensive. If I were to have done that I would have taken bands and stones and have new rings customed made. Until I become a lady of leisure and not sticking my hands in stuff I'd rather not have under diamonds, I'll stick with a plain band. |
you could wear your original rings on a necklace...... |
I've never heard of the store. There aren't any fresh/natural food stores that wouldn't require me to do more driving. I like doing my shopping at HEB (meats, fresh foods) and the dreaded Wal-Mart for the rest of my stuff (paper, pencils, etc). It's way too convenient despite all its inconveniences. Wait, that doesn't make sense does it. |
Darcy, hmmmm interesting thought. The diamonds would hang down though..........but there is a 7 or 9 mm band that would make a nice slide. |
We have one being built right down the street.
I was in the one by my parent's house. I was rushing through the store that day but from what I saw it looked nice. |
We have a sign saying one is coming. |

I just made seared ahi tuna last week too!!! How weird is that.... It really is good. Lightly seasoned, but lots of garlic sprinkled on top. I had it in Stillwater at the nationals. I liked it so much I duplicated it. Even down to the side of creamed corn and gouda!! (that is sinful too!) |
No Fresh and Easy here but do have Sunflower Market, Rancher's which is like a supermarket in Mexico......more fish, thankfully, fresh tortillas, etc. Also have Whole Foods (pissed they bought out Wild Oats) and Trader Joes. Alas, nothing special in my end of the valley, Albertsons and WalMart |
we have none of these. I am so bored with food and shopping I need some new stores!! with good fresh meat and produce. |
