The Timbit

For those of you in Canada you will probably know exactly what I am talking about
I had to give my husband a ride to work this morning, and decided to take Dancer with me for a car ride, she loves going in the car. Rob (my husband) and I are serious Tim Horton's addicts (for those who have no idea what that is, it is Canada's most famous, most popular, most habit forming coffee shop). We go through the drive thru every day on our way to work for coffee. Tim Horton's drive thru loves it when dogs come through, and they keep a fresh supply of "timbits" (mini donut holes) at the window for the dogs, with no sugar or flavorings etc, just for the dogs. Dancer and Sky are Timmy's addicts too, since they got their first treat at the drive thru window on their way home from the breeders with us.
So, Dancer is sitting patiently in the back seat, waiting for her timbit and wiggling in excitement. The staff ooooh and aaaah over her, and then Dancer gave a woof because they hadn't given her the timbit yet. LOL The woman laughed and decided to give her two.... Dancer is a dainty dog, and nibbles at her food, even special treats like timbits, and so she ate the first timbit, and I thought she had eaten both, but when I came back in the house with her, Dancer dropped the other timbit, which she had been carrying in her mouth, on the floor for Sky. Sky of course inhaled it, no chewing, and looked for more, insisting on looking very closely in Dancer's mouth, thinking maybe it is a new fountain of treats. LOL
I don't know if Dancer was saving it for Sky, or for herself, but I thought it was cute anyway....

Well you can't really know for sure if she was saving it for Sky....
but if she was that is so cute!!!
I amazed she made it home with the second one at all.
Very Cute Story!!
:D
:D That is such a sweet story!
That is so cute! Poor Merlin won't eat timbits...doesnt know what he is missing. In fact he will take NO treats from any strangers! hmm sounds like what I tell my upright kids! LOL!
How cute! Big sis taking care of little sis! These are truly smart dogs. :D :D
Chris
Awwww, that is so cute that Dancer is sharing with Sky. If they are anything like Jack and Annabelle, it was purely an accident. They will share toys, food, and love, but not treats. You can actually see the wheel turning in Annabelle's head on how she can take Jack's treats.

Give the girls belly rubs! :D

Stormi and co.
How sweet!! Even if she was saving it for Sky it takes some will power to not ahve broken down and eat anyway before getting home!! What good sister!
What a cute story... And a place that has dog friendly treats? That rules!
Hi,

Funny the school I teach at, today had a bake sale and I purchased a tidbit and thought of your story! ha ha!

Hey I'm jealous!! The one closest to my house doesn't have a drive through and no treats for the dogs. :?

I'm really impressed with BC Ferries as all the ticket booths carry doggie treats for dogs and if you decide to get out for a stretch with the dogs they have water bowls located all over. Even on the ferry when dogs have to stay in the cargo bay they always knock on the windows and ask or tell you they have filled up buckets of fresh water for the dogs.

Gotta luv businesses that think of our furried pals!

Very cute story regarding Dancer and Skye..awww!
Hello everyone. Thanks willowsprite! I use to live in Ontario and the Tim's at the Canadian Tire in Trenton has THE BEST Coffee. One large double double please! I miss it so much. It must taste different because of the water...

My Tim's story: The other day I took Nab in my sunfire to Tim's and she was so excited when the guy asked if she could have a timbit that she went right over top of me to stick her head out my window as if to say... "Oh yes please...can I have two...I'm a growing puppy" The guy was laughing at her so hard that he gave her, her own little box with 5 in it!

Della & Nab
That is a great story !!!

We are lucky, Tim Hortons bought a chain of stores in Rhode Island.
You can be sure we will stop by with our sheepie on our next visit.

Our sheepie loves drive thru windows, his favorite is his withdrawal
of a treat at the banks drive thru window and the celebrity welcome
from the tellers !!
Too cute Della :) I think I would go mad without timmy's! LOL
I think someone answered this before but I can't find it. What is a timbit? It must be something wonderful!!!
A timbit is a little donut hole. (It's not really, but that's what people think of them as)

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm! That makes me hungry just looking at them. I'm going to the grocery store after work and, thanks to you, I'll probably buy out the bakery!!! :)
Well I for one know without a doubt she was bringing it home to Sky. I can't believe anyone could think anything else, he he. That is a very cute story.

I used to have a Begal Chi Chi once she was so full from eating scraps the country neighbor leaves out that she came home with a piece of cormbread in her mouth just walking down the street. Another time she had a plastic bag of cookies swaying as she walked. By the way she earned her living as an escape artist.
Willowspite,
It is awesome that your girls look out for each other. Very sweet.
Timbits sound like Duncan Donuts' "Munchkins". A few months ago, we stopped at DD on the way home from my sister's lake house - there were 3 dogs in the car, Sydney and her basset cousins, Mosi & Zoe. The girl at the window could only see Sydney and asked if she could have a Munchkin - the minute she did - Mosi & Zoe's heads popped up in back (whining) as if to say "we're in here too - don't forget us!" LOL.

I've never been to Tim Horton's - even though they are in our area - I'll have to try it.

Cute story.

We were spending so much everyday buying a cup of coffee, we just  decided to buy the cans of coffee grounds. When I go to the off leash park we go through the drivethru, but we don't get free donuts
Love the story.

Every morning we have a routine in our house too. I let Farley (the 6 month old OES) out first to do his business and then I let Abby (3 yr old mix) out to do hers. If I let them out at the same time Farley will just play and not do his business until he remembers to - which is usually in the middle of the living room.

Anywho Farley will wait at the door while Abby is out and wooroo forlornly all the while she is out. Then just as she is about to come back inside he will go and grab one of his many toys and bring it to the door as if it were tribute. Sometimes when he can't find a toy - a shoe or glove will do! Abby comes in and immediately starts playing with the furboy. What a crew!
That's so sweet that he brings her a toy...lol.... Sky woorooo's and whines when Dancer is outside without her, and when Sky is out without Dancer, Dancer will stand up on the windowsill and watch carefully, wiggling in anticipation....
