Countdown to Moving Day

I can't wait in less than 10 days I'll be moving to my new digs....but the bad thing is I haven't started packing yet. Sigh I've been procrastinating.

Part of me is filled with apprehension as I'm leaving a home I love but the other part of me can't wait to move to my new house. Okay I need motivation...must pack soon...must pack soon.

Oooh It's so exciting! A new beginning hooray! Looks like you will be settled just in time for Christmas. How will you transport all the animals? I'm picturing a Noah's Ark scenario. Don't leave all the packing til the last minute, do you have time off work?
Don't forget to take lots of pictures, you know that is the most important thing 8)

Good luck and keep us posted :ghug:
Good luck with the move!!

It is work, but a great time to cull out stuff. 8)

How far apart are the 2 houses?
Hire someone to pack and move you!!!!

Good luck and remember to throw stuff out.

Yes, less to pack! Good luck with the move and don't forget to burn a sage stick in the new house.
purge, purge, purge!

get-a-packin'! :D
Is this the house you posted photos of with a lovely garden? You must start throwing things out and packing, dont leave it till the last day you will be worn out! We could all come and help if you were closer.
You must be so excited. At least there is no real rush to get things out of the old house.
I am looking forward to more pics of the new place and of course the dog that comes with the house.
Yay Marianne!

(Don't forget my throne!)

Marianne, get packing!!!!!
Have fun packing Marianne, Just so you know your not alone I'm packing also for our move on the 15th :D
Considering all the work you did to the last home, I can't imagine how hard it is to leave your home. HOWEVER, you must be getting excited about the projects you have lined up for the new home!!!!!!!!!!! That enough should make you excited to move. Get packin lady!!
Nyuck Nyuck regarding the throne.....Yes, Ron there will be a place for you at the new house. This goes for everyone else as well should you ever visit this area. The new place has less bedrooms but they are far bigger than this current place.

Yes!! It's the house with that beautiful garden which I posted a while back!

Been lazy with packing as I still have this current house so no rush to move to other home in one go. My dream had come true however, as my grand wish was to purchase the other home..move animals over...then either sell or rent my current place. Moving 30 odd animals over was what I was worried about the most. How the heck was I going to do that? I am still pinching myself to see if it is all real!!!Kaj and I may live in two houses for the next month or so until all the pens and enclosures are built (sigh I am nutty about my critters aren't I).

The Child Care worker at my place of employment is currently looking for a place to rent along with her daughter who does the cruelty investigations for the SPCA. If that happens, then I would leave all the current enclosures at this current place so she'd have a place to house animals. (you know I'd only rent to people WITH PETS)..and get new ones built at my new place.I hope it works out as I have to charge a certain amount to cover the morgage but also not being greedy either as I want to share my good fortune with others. I can't think of anyone I'd like to rent it more to.

Yes, must purge, purge, purge...I'm such a packrat. Then the house will be empty and I need to fix things up before I rent it out or prepare it for selling. Although the market is bad for selling at this moment and I would love to hang on to this place for my children in the future. Either way, I'll be super busy but in the end it was all worth it.

A forever home for all the animals and turns out the house isn't on a double lot but (that's another story and it involved 3 lawyers and 2 real estate managers to sort it out) but the property had two seperate addresses with a house on one (this is amazing as the city bylaw only allows 2 dogs per address and this means I can technically have 4 dogs!!!!) It was a glitch that was a nightmare at first, but once sorted turned out to be a godsend. The banks didn't want to give us a loan for second property that had no house on it and it gets complicated but in the end involved us just paying 5 thousand for the attached 1/4 acre property in the heart of the city!!! In total the house and two properties combined are aprox 1/2 acre. Oh again pinch me if I'm dreaming!!!!

How'd the heck did all this happen as I'm not a lucky person. I think somewhere karma was at play as it's always been about the animals and giving unadoptables and seniors a forever home.
