Hi,
Congrats and kudos to you for your effort! I once entered a contest eons ago with Shaggy my first OES in a pet/owner lookalike contest. We didn't win but a GOOD time was had by all. The mall where the contest was held also had silly agility contest whereas owner would carry an egg on a spoon in one hand and hold the leash with doggie in the otherwhile going through an agility course. Shaggy and I won that one! The other contest were best dressed dog an most talented dog. Pet owners love showing off their dogs talent and it drew newspaper people and the crowds out.Lots of fun for pet owners and it helped other pets so that may be something to consider. Cost 5 dollars to enter each event and proceeds went to an animal shelter. For next year you may want to consider something like this. http://www.spca.bc.ca/walk/ |
Hum, I can think of some interesting ideas, maybe shouldn't mention on a family forum though. |
Silent Auction during the event works. |
I agree silent auctions are great |
how about setting up an area where people and pets can get their photo taken with a theme (maybe christmas)? |
Thanks guys, Great ideas, Keep them comming |
we always do 50/50 raffles where people buy raffle tickets and at the end of the night we split the pot with the winner. the best part about it is the winner usually ends up donating their share or buying everyone ar ound |
