Heat question
Our sheepie is 4months old tomorrow  I know that every dog is different but all breeds are different..What age do sheepies generally come into heat. We will be on guard at 6 mntsh but is it true that most don't come into until 8 mnths old???

| The larger breeds tend to come in later. The earliest any of mine have come into season is 7 months of age. The latest was 18 months of age. Best thing to do is ask your breeder when Mom came into season for the first time. That should be a good guideline. And remember they don't necessarily come into season every 6 monhts. I had one that came in every 6 months. Another that came in every 9 months & another that came in about every 5 months. |
