This morning, she went in her crate for her treat before I left for work, and was completely dumbfounded when I didn't close the door on her, she seemed very smug as she followed me to the front door. I went home at lunch expecting to find a winterwonderland of toilet paper in the family room--( I forgot to close the bathroom door...dummy me!!!) But to my surprise and amazement nothing was touched!!! I am so happy!!! 1/2 day down and gazzlion more to go!!!! In the past 2 weeks, she has learned that I get up first AND she can be out --FREE---like her brother and sister. Having said this, I am sure Pearl and Cosmo and not happy with me....NOW they have no quiet time AT ALL..... |

She is growing up Val - I am so proud of her. |
Yes she is growing up. I do not know whether to be the proud aunt or sad that she isn't a baby.
She certainly proved she could do everything the "big doggies" did this past week. And she was such a good girl about bed time - the one day I woke up she came over for petting and then looked at where you were sleeping. I told her no and she layed down quietly and went back to bed. |
Funny- It was snowing at my house today as well. Chandi got into a new tissue box, And he jumped on the counter and snatched the garlic so now he is kinda smelly. |
I LOVE that boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats how it started for us. When we were at Sheepie Palooza this past summer, the girls were crate free in the hotel room. So when we got home, we tried it that way, and it worked! Congratulations; its seems Heart is just full of wonderful accomplishments lately!!! |
I hope the success continues!! |
Awwww....she's a big girl now. |
I have been leaving Nigel and Bella loose in the house when I go out for a few hours at a time. I just make sure all the doors are closed except my/their bedroom. I haven't left his crate open at night yet...but maybe it's time...hmmm. |
Val, that is wonderful. My trio is still unrealiable, and can't be trusted to be free. In fact, Pirate has learned how to ram his crate door to get it open, so we have put a padlock on it to keep him in. I'm so envious of you!!!! |
Deb---not too envious...
