I know of a 2.5yo female named Sophie who needs a home. I have Soph's sister from another litter. Sophie's owners just had a house built, moved in this past week, and Sophie is not allowed in the house now. I had Sophie over to play at house a few months ago to see how she would do with our family and my girl Tillie knowing this issues was coming. She was afraid of Till, who is a very submissive dog, very easy going. I can't take Soph at the expense of Matilda who is my girl. Sophie needs help. She has a lot of anxiety issues and has chewed an area on her one leg raw. From what her owner told me she has to be sedated to be groomed. They had found a home for her and the people called the very next day asking them to pick her back up. We had no agression issue when she was at my house, and have never heard her owners talk of an issue with it either. I think Soph would be best in a home where there is someone with her quiet a bit, she gets lonely and really needs some attention. She is located about 60 miles north of Harrisburg. Anyone able to help relocate Sophie into a loving forever home, please pm me. Oh---she is up to date with all her shots and she is not fixed. I am not Sophies owner, they can't get online yet, but said I would do what I can to help find her a home. Thanks in advance. Jen--- |

I just wanted to say thank you so much for those of you who have replied. Madeline has a couple lined up for Sophie who seem like a perfect fit. They have had other sheepies so know the personality and health needs. Fenced in back yard, she can sleep with them, travel on vacation with them, they are retired and home more often then not, and hopefully just be loved for who she is. They sounded very commited to her long term knowing there are some issues to help for overcome, but I strongly believe once she is in a home where she is getting attention and care she will bloom and settle. I just want to take a moment to all of you who have rescued one of these precious fur babies and say THANK YOU so much for giving them a second (or third or fourth) chance. Please say a prayer that this is the right place for Sophie. She deserves all the spoiling she can get. Thank you also to the "other person" who expressed an interest in Sophie. You know who you are. You very unselfishly placed Sophies well being and adjustment above your own wants...that speaks so much to the kind of person and pet owner you are. I do hope you find another OES soon, I know they will be wonderfully taken care of.
Thanks again, Jen |
And thanks to Madeline - Truly the best of the best! She works tirelessly to find forever homes for the breed she loves and puts them first above herself.....She is extraordinary. and I'm proud to know her. |
