OBEDIENCE: No dogs qualified in Utility or Open, two Novice dogs did. The following team went High in Trial: CH Masquerade Marketwatch CD RAE (Bebe to her friends) - handler/owner Gale Fitzsimmons. Gale's going to look up who the other dog is and get back to me. The usual OES curse seemed to apply (there's something about getting a bunch of them together that makes them lose their collective mind - there's ongoing research into the phenomonon) Even the obedience HIT trial dog managed to leave the ring in rally excellent when she caught sight of her younger brother Luca with Sunny outside the ring I spoke with Judi who had an entertaining interpretation of Harry's Novice A obedience debut. Evidently all of that partying got to him and he was a bit sleepy in the ring. I told her to leave him napping in his crate until right up until the dog if front of her in rally is halfway through the course. We shall see if that perks the poor hungover boy up. Val and Heart were the only Pre-novice obedience entry and I'm told Heart was wonderfully attentive (do you know how brave you have to be to take a 15 mos old OES puppy into an obedience ring? ) and netted Val a "disgustingly large" (I quote Judi) pink ribbon... I don't have any confirmed rally excellent or advanced results except Gale's confession that Bebe left the ring in exc (NQ) and qualifed in advanced. I haven't heard how Dawn and Chewie did yet. I'm sure Dawn was busy working. They were setting up the novice course when I talked to Judi. Haven't heard about Marty and Murphy yet either. Fingers crossed for Judi and Val and more results to follow as they become available. Kristine |

Marty didn't give me any names but, 5 people entered
Rally Excellent and 2 qualified. Murphy and Marty were not two of the qualifiers. They are having fun and that's the most important part! Murphy doesn't want his "rally adventure story" to not have the exciting twists! It's all about suspense ya know? |

have the exciting twists! It's all about suspense ya know? Well, he walked right into it. I forgot to tell you about the black Q hole when too many OES gather in one place. Some kind of qualifying performance Bermuda triangle where top dogs and beginners alike get sucked in as their dog's brains get sucked out. I can't say it gets much better with time EITHER. Every Q earned at a national should be highly treasured. Just having the courage to be there says a lot about the team. It ain't for sissies. Are the boys entered on Friday? I do have a few more updates. Despite undergoing some kind of strange metamorphosis that suddenly turned him into his uncle Luca , Dawn's Chewie, temporarily turned whiny stud muffin, managed to get his nose up off the ground long enough (he's in love with his Aunt Bebe who went before him...she's spayed, but never mind) to be one of those 2 aforementioned qualifiers in Excellent rally, thus finishing that title and making him Masquerade Alice Acres Madness RE TDI Dawn - I'm incredibly proud of both of you. And fitting since we met by a rally ring Dawn missed the advanced and novice rings because she had to run off to bathe Chew for the breed ring so not much help there, but Judi called with novice results and though I think I'm still missing at least one qualifier and will investigate further, I'm told tentative results are as follows: 1) Judy and Harry 2) Val and Heart 3) Luca and Sunny That means Harry and Heart have their first legs towards their RN (Rally Novice) title!!!! And that is either Luca's leg # 2 or his title. I've lost track but will find out from Sunny. More results as people take a deep breath and a well earned break. Except those who are showing in conformation. That just started at noon Kristine |

No partying Thursday night Murphy!! Murphy??? You're worried about Murphy???? Honey, it's ALWAYS the handler. Always I'm sure Murphy will be begging Marty to call it an early night. Fingers crossed for the boys and hope they call in a rescue parade report later today Kristine |
Judi and Vall just left - with Harry and Heart - to head back home. Already got a directions call from Judi.....
They have to go to work and their vacation is over. Sunny and I inherited their laundry detergent though! Today is sweeps - puppy and veteran, followed by the rescue parade. Then at 1pm the dog classes start. More later! |

You did tell her she beat one of the Top 5 OES in the country - TWICE!! (OK, so he's top 5 breed, not rally, but still, I think there have to be some bragging rights to that feat ) Amazing work, ladies! Kristine |
