I am going to start walking her more often because I am thinking it is stress/anxiety. I take her outside whenever I am home because I know lately that it has been rough on her. Should I really worry about an UTI? I really think it is a behavior issue. Rheba is very "attached" to me and this is why I am thinking that it isn't a medical issue. Any thoughts? |

Well, you do need to r/o a UTI by taking a urine specimen to the Vet.
Is she crate traied? If so I would start by confining her to the crate when you aren't home. |
..out dog had separation anxiety so we had issues with this from the start even though Mochi is house trained. We take her out before we go but we can only leave her for about 3 1/2 hours. Of course, that's probably a short period for most OES but not Mochi....otherwise we take her to a cool doggie day care where she can play with other dogs or we have someone come let her out for a bit.
We also do not make a big deal when we are leaving and we set out a loaded with goodies Kong or 2 for her to play with while we are gone. She likes those a lot and forgets about us leaving when we set the Jong down. |
