Hi,
I am sorry you are going through this situation right now, and I want to thank you for thinking about your beautiful girl first. Several people have recently posted that they needed to re-home their dog because they felt it was unfair to be alone for a large part of the day. Some have found after talking with other forum members that their situation may not be "as bad" as you may be thinking. When my wife and I got our first sheepie, we both worked and he stayed home alone for 9 hours every day. He slept all day. When we got home he was full of energy and ready to play. Now we are both home all day and our sheepie mostly sleeps all day interrupted by an occasional rub, and doesn't have that burst of energy at the end of the day. It is not that bad a life for a dog (or a person). Now, if there are other reasons that you still have that need to be addressed, let's talk about them and see if we can find you a solution. If we can't, well, we you haven't lost anything. Either way we'll be glad to help you find a great home for your girl. |
