So what should I do today????? Going to the barn--forget about it. He's in his stall today so no riding. I hate driving in the rain anyway. I've already washed the windows downstairs. My laundry is caught up. It's 7 am and I'm already bored!!!!!! |

My laundry is caught up. It's 7 am and I'm already bored!!!!!! Maybe it is finally time to get that sheepdog....you could be brushing!!!! Hmmmm, I plan on packing for nationals. Mowing the lawn if it ever dries off (cloudy, heavy dew). Brushing out at least part of Chewie. Shampooing carpets. Surfing the web. Sending pictures from the last weight pull to the people I promised them to. Going to town for groceries, getting a new battery in my remote start for the Element, dropping off some t-shirts I bought for a friend at bassetfest and are still riding around with me, dropping off my timecard at the office so I get paid. |
Lol. My first reaction was "Go back to bed!"
Having Owen now, I'm up earlier than I ever want to be so I want everyone to sleep for me! |
well ......you could bake cookies?...or maybe a cake?........I know when I'm bored or can't sleep I bake (lots....cookies, cakes and even bread) |
Go through your house and find all the stuff you don't need. Prepare to send it off to the huricane victims or those in your area that are less fortunate than you.

I agree with mouthypf. We still have 5 shelters here in this area that are in need of clothing all sizes and gender etc... Unfortunately between Gustav and Ike there are definitely going to be folks that are going to need things that we all have in excess. My sister and I just went to a couple of thrift stores and picked up some toys and childrens books and dropped them off a local shelter that was on the tv asking for some help. THey have 21 children in the shelter that were getting very bored with nothing to do.
Please think about the evacuees that have taken shelter in your area. |
I always have a "donations" box (clothing, books, shoes, etc.) in process at my house. I filled one box last week and started on another a few days ago. My rule is if I buy a new thing, one thing must leave. So if I get a new pair of shoes, one pair must go in the donations box. I also filled my car's trunk with clothes that my mom no longer wants, along with bedding I'll be taking to the local animal shelter. I work for a hospital that does a lot of local charity work, so I'll be donating items through them for evacuees. |
Dawn, you are making me tired. For all the things you have to do today, it would take me a week!
Jill, welcome (back) to puppyhood. I remember when Simon was a baby all I wanted was one night of uninterupted(sp) sleep. I was planning to clean out closets in the next week so Wyn where am I sending this stuff?? I should have one or two boxes of "things". |

Don't feel bad Pam - the lawn never got mowed (rained on and off all day) and the carpet didn't get shampooed (ditto on the rain - didn't want to shampoo with wet dirty feet going in and out.) I got the rest done and snuck in a pedicure!!! |
