The person known as Paula Salvadore doesn't exist. And even if she did, she doesn't live in that county. Can't he figure out what to do? I guess he's afraid the law will come knocking at his door. |

He's hoping it is an entree to reconciliation? |

Hmm mle point of view. and so different from how she is taking it, how unusual. |
Not my point of view. Actually, I'd give better odds on either he is being lazy wanting her to handle it, or dumb in not knowing how to handle it.
I'd guess that Paula already thought about those so I was offering a quirky third possibility that she might not have considered. |
Aren't all ex's dolts? |
Oh I hope the judge sets down a bench warrant and the sheriff shows up at his door. Like how hard is to to write, "divorced, no longer at this address" on the envelope? |
Fortunately he's remarried and even if he wasn't I wouldn't want him. I think Ron is right on both counts--dumb AND lazy.
I originally e-mailed him to throw it away but then thought about it and send him another e-mail to write "no longer at this address" and return it. This happened about 5 years ago and I called the jury duty office and told them I don't live in the county and sent them proof. Guess they didn't take me off the list as promised. I refuse to do any more about it, and have been summoned in the county I currently reside! |

You foreigners have funny sayings Dolt is an old word. I would say it is similar to "idiot", but more in a stupid, low intelligence way. |
I never heard of the word dolt either |

Exactly Dawn - but seems its not one of "our" foreigners words from Mirriam Webster: Main Entry: dolt Pronunciation: \ˈdōlt\ Function: noun Etymology: probably akin to Old English dol foolish Date: 1553 : a stupid person — dolt·ish \ˈdōl-tish\ adjective — dolt·ish·ly adverb — dolt·ish·ness noun |
