Just to let you know that we have new shirt & stuff designs for spring 2005 and valentine's day, I hope you like them! |
|
Very cute! I love Cowroba, too! |
Thanks... Cowroba is very special from my wife, she did the drawing and I made the design.
I hope the new designs are as popular as the others were. |
Saulmr has your wife thought anymore about a cross stitch pattern????? |
I'm still looking for a conversion software for that, then we can print the image as a poster and sell it.
Is there a free software that could get the job done with a large file? |
saulmr... sometimes ya gotta spend money to make money...
I still would love to see a rug hooking pattern |
Maybe you could get in touch with a big company like Janlynn.com and send them a pic. They have the counted cross stitch designs with every thing in the kit, ( fabric, color graph, thread, needles)
They seem to have some nice designs and might be able to help get your wife's work made into one. Just a thought... or maybe they can tell you where to start? |
I finally got my hands on some cross stitching software and we can print the designs on a poster. You can use the poster as the pattern. How large would you like the desing to be? (I have a 12 inch model and I can enlarge it) |
I'm not really sure. What does the software do? Print the small blocks over the whole poster? If so would the pattern come in color so we know with thread to use?
I've always used kits to work with. Can someone else tell me how to get started with just the pattern? |
I think you have to count stitches if it ain't printed on the canvas. |
Counted cross stitch would be fine, but if it's not in a kit or something, how would you know which color to use to make it look right?
Most kits that I've done are not printed on the canvas but they do tell you what color to use for which square. It's called a color chart and they have different symbols for different colors. |
When it's printed on a seperate form - you have to follow it like a pattern (and like Ron said - count stitches). It's more difficult - but with some concentration it can be done. Maybe the software prints the colors???
I hope someone goes for it - I can't wait to see the final product! Kristen |
I've always done it with a seperate pattern, and always counted stitches. But does the software come with some sort of color chart so you know which color to use?
The picture I really like is the one of lennon and all you see is the face and nose. I think it's in a rainbow of colors, and is just beautiful. |
Hannah,
Danita is extremely talented and I bet she could do a picture of your pup for you for a cross stitch pattern. I couldn't be more pleased with the work she did for me! Kristen |
What did she do for you? |
She made ornaments of "Cartoon" Presley & Sydney
www.cafepress.com/danitashop/447569 and a cartoon she did for me of my sister's bassets rowing in a canoe.. www.cafepress.com/danitashop/450074 I sent her pictures and voila`! Kristen |
Using PCStitch I transformed the bitmap into a stitch pattern. The poster will be printed in color, about 12 inches wide and with a correspondance of about 12 stitches per inch in real size.
Lennon and Sofa's patterns are done in a 50 color pattern to make it look realistic, and the poster will have the list of colors you will be needing for that. I'm really not experienced with Cross Stitching and it's the first time I use that software. Mi guess is the same as Ron and BritPresSyd, you will have to count stitches, but t he pattern has a grid that will help you on the way. Seems that we will be offering throw pillows beginning next week, and we could print the pattern directly on the pillow. Maybe that would be a better choice for you, let me what you think. Danita will gladly make a painting or a cartoon from a picture of your dog, and I can easily transform that into a stitch pattern that can be printed on an of our products for you to use if you want to do that in a piece of cloting or keep it as a printed pattern. Maybe that will make things easier for you. |
I'm so excited!!!!!!!
Please let me know as soon as I can get the pattern. Thank you for looking into it and finding out about the software. I might like to have your wife do something with a picture of my sheepie also. Bye |
