Dangerous chocolate cake Recipe

OK, I may be the last person to receive this, but if you haven't already indulged yourself:

DANGEROUS CHOCOLATE CAKE-IN-A-MUG

1 coffee mug, 12 oz

4 Tbsp. cake flour (or plain, not self-rising)

4 Tbsp. sugar

2 Tbsp. cocoa

1 egg

3 Tbsp. milk

3 Tbsp. oil

Small splash of vanilla

3 Tbsp. chocolate chips, optional ( )

Add dry ingredients to mug, mix well with a fork.

Add egg, mix thoroughly.

Pour in milk and oil and vanilla, mix well.

Add chips, if using.

Put mug in microwave, and cook for three minutes on 1000 watts.

Cake will rise over top of mug--do not be alarmed!

Allow to cool a little; tip onto a plate if desired. (eat from mug, it's faster)

Frosting optional......maybe some of those chocolate chips melted over, powdered sugar, ice cream topping, etc

Eat!

(This can serve two if you want to feel slightly more virtuous.)

***And WHY is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?

Because now we are all only five minutes away from chocolate cake any time of the day or night!!!***

Sounds like a great recipe for when we are camping. I'm going to Oregon next week in my new trailer and I'm trying this for sure.
SheepieBoss, you're killing me! It's dangerous for two reasons - it's fast, and I have all of the ingredients in my kitchen right now
You really make cake in a mug?! That is brilliant! That would be so fun to do at a sleepover when the boys get older. My husband is nodding his head saying his boys aren't going to have boys over "to cook," but I say any boy would want to do it if it meant their own chocolate cake!!!
Made it tonight. One mug is enough for two, satifiying adult servings, not too much. If you ice it, it's a bit much. Even husband who loves choc cake could finish a whole one by himself. Used a soup mug and didn't reach top leaving room for icing.......too sweet with icing. Maybe ice cream instead.

No need to grease mug. Will have to soak awhile, but that's ok, not burned on.

Only mess measuring ingredients.......hubby isn't too good with that. Id suggest premeasuring all dry ingredients for the boys. OK, uncoordinated boys might have trouble mixing. Mug when it comes out.
you know if I used some whole wheat flour and different sweetner I could convince myself this was healthy
   Well of course it would be healthy. It has chocolate.

Obviously my last post was made under hypergylcemic condition due to all the missing words.

One cake is enough for two non-glutton people. Romantic sharing. You'll have to eat out of the same mug because without oiling the cup, you'd be unable to slip the cake out easily. I'm not making another to try lubing before hand. Use powdered sugar for a nice topping. That should be enough.

No there is no levening. The whamo amount of egg seems to do the trick.

This is the perfect recipe to have on hand for those nights after dinner when a little something sweet would be in order.
Chocolate, my main food group! What a brilliant idea, cake in a mug, although I doubt I could ever feel romantic enough to share :D
I have emailed this recipe to many of my friends.....last night I tried it
I am not a big fan of microwave stuff....but this was good....I didn't have Chocolate chips so used butterscotch and had ice cream on it
