I just have to share this sheepie story
I had to share this with you. One of my good friends adopted a sheepie pup from me almost 15 years ago. Long story there so I won't go into it. She lives just down the road from me. Today I decided to go by her house to see Piaste (Pi Stie). Another dog named after drums. Piaste will be 15 years old in November and I was just amazed at how well she is doing. I haven't seen her in a little while. She is almost blind, partially deaf but other than that she is amazing. She can still run and she was jumping up on me. She has naturally slowed down but not like what you would think. Her coat is beautiful and even her tounge is not shrivelled. One of the things I thought made Remo look so old was his little shrivelled tounge. I was so happy to see how well she was doing but I have to admit I was a little jealous also. My oldest sheepie lived to be 17 and I wouldn't be suprised if she made it that long also. Must be good genes, good medical care and a lot of love. |
