Our BUCKEYES showed up and won their season opener 
The damper was Beanie Wells getting hurt. Hopefully, it isn't a serious ankle injury, and we will be able to give the National Championships a TRY again this year.  |

Today is a HUGE showdown with CU vs. CSU at Invesco Field in Denver. My son has season tickets this year and has been waiting for this day for weeks. Our new neighbors who just moved in a couple of months ago are diehard Nebraska ( ) fans. They are from Nebraska so I guess that explains it. Anyhoo....they have alot of red deco in their yard.....so I guess this means we will be having to get a Buffs flag this year to show our support for our guys!! Plus....they are kind of stuck up and snooty....so we will get an extra BIG CU flag.  We always speak to them when we see them out and we just want to be good neighbors.....but for some reason, they are just not that freindly....oh well.  |
One of my best friend's husband played for the Buffs back in the 80s. He tolerates me, but hates my team. Makes that HATES. I am a huge Big 8 fan and remember when the top 3 teams in the country were NU, OU and CU! 
My team won, but the second half was pathetic after a 70 minute rain delay. There was 12 inches of water at the edges of the field. We still managed to "hang half a hundred on'em" by the half. And I want to thank our opponents for agreeing to play us after our scheduled team backed out. I know people will make fun of the opponent, but the team backing out on us in November left us with few options.

I don't watch anymore but, when I lived in Ohio Saturday afternoons were the best!!! BTW....we had some Ohio corn last week. Sorry I wasn't able to get in touch with you it was CRAZY

| Our opening game was Saturday here in Baton ROuge and of course LSU won 41-14. They moved the game up to 10 a.m. due to the hurricane.

We have a 17 week old puppy named Sophie. She is our third oes. She is so lovable and funny. I would like to find some one close enough we could have a play date. Sophie loves our son's golden and our daughters border collie is scared to death of her. (We have no idea why!) I have sad news to report, I am a buckeye but my husband is a Michigan person. Oh well, life goes on! |

He is a full of energy, however, he had an injury almost two years ago that has slowed him down a bit. ( you can follow my posts if you like-- his injury is what brought us here!) He loves other dogs, and puppies are his favorite. My sister and her family just got a miniture sheltie ( Copper) and they have a ball together! My brother lives in Delaware and my Mom is in Sunbury! | Man oh man... our Buckeyes looked SAD on Saturday. I would hope that Beanie Wells isn't the only thing holding the team together. He was out with a toe injury. Next week @ USC is going to be interesting.
And.. we fell to 5th in the polls. Darn! The only good thing about Saturday was Max. He was ADORABLE with his Buckeye garb on! I have pictures that I need to post. |
