I was on my way home from work and noticed alot more bikes then is usual. Most riding in groups which is fun to see. There are news reports with the news people riding from all over the country heading for Milwaukee. There was a newspaper article in which an upside down person had his bike shipped here. By this weekend you will not be able to hear yourself think it will be so loud. There is a parade...of Harley's and they close down MAJOR highways so the bikes can GET to the starting area. Its fun to watch, its fun to see, and I have to work this weekend. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA |

sounds like it's going to be a roaring time in your town. sometimes it's a little loud at my home when my 2 sons and my brother all visit at the same time as all have Harleys |
I was surprised it was so "quiet" last weekend - I thought there would be a little more pre-weekend activity out there.
(OK, it wasn't that quiet - I was surrounded by a few hundred bassets all weekend!) We have a Harley household too. Todd hasn't ridden too much this last year, as one of his good friends was killed out riding last year. The group who rides together all work together. Todd wasn't with them as his press was running, so he was at work. I always am nervous with the bikers out, I see way too many mangled bodies in the ER and on our floor as a trauma nurse. I hope you have an uneventful weekend. |
My co-worker is going to the Springsteen concert which is being held at the Harley fest. So in addition to bikes, there will be loud music! I'm jealous of her--I'd love to see the Springer. |
Sounds like fun! It will be a wild Labor Day in Milwaukee! |
I'm wearing my Harley shirt in your honor today.
Vrrrrrooooooom! |
