Here are a few before photos... This is the original kitchen sink and faucet. See my lovely tile, with little or no grout, oh yucko! Not only did I have very little counter space, it was also very shallow. The sink as you see was back against the wall. This is a photo that shows the extent of my kitchen counter. This was it, we had brought in an Ikea unit that helped a great deal, but it was still not enough. This wraps about 18 inches infront of Lee, that is my sweeties lower torso in the photos as he is working on removing the upper cabinets the lovely lighting fixture... do I hear the oooh's and aaah's, anyone? My contractor suggested I put this lovely item on Ebay to see if anyone would bid on it.... why would anyone want it???? Ahhh, the lovely hole in wall, this was for the original stove to be vented through... and a look at the lovely wall paper. Oh my, such wonderment. That lovely wall paper covered two walls. I still think it was not really kitchen wall paper, but it was better than the years the kitchen was painted Orange. We saw evidence that the cabinets were at one time a very mean orange color... Now you see it... Now you don't This is the over the refrig cabinet. Lee and I took the doors off when we moved in, I used this to hold my mixing bowls, but it always became a catch all for all kinds of stuff. Progress so far; the can lights are in, the wiring is updated, the opening between kitchen and dining room is open and reframed, two walls of Dry wall is now up. The door opening to the kitchen is now enlarged. The exterior outlet is installed. The motion sensor light is installed outside in the drive way. Looking like Lee and I will begin painting this long weekend.... I can't wait. I forgot to add that the new window is in... here is what it looks like from outside. It is not really different in style that what was there, but it has glass that is not cracked and it works and it has a screen.... Low E coating that filters out a lot of UV rays.... There will be a iron window box under that window soon and shutters on either side in a dark "tuxedo grey"... I think it will be wonderful. input....? |
