We have all the camping gear, board/ski gear, and tools organized and easily accessible. Now the snowmobile trailer can be parked inside. Which we had snow on Aug 16th. Keeping fingers crossed for a good season. So when we were done I asked "why do we keep stuff around like this. For memories...well the 1 snowboard was the one I was riding when shattered my pelvic, we have some memories so justifiable. The rocking chair that is broken beyond repair get rid of it. Not mention the speakers which haven't been plugged in we moved west 12 years ago. Just seems funny to me. |

Doesn't every ski country garage include old skis, boards, out of style boots, crutches, etc? Took us years to get rid of all or ours too. Won't be long before the snow will be flying up there and your thoughts will return to the slopes. |
What is Evergreen near? I have been in Greely and Loveland while visiting Ali in Johnstown. I was also in Westminster while visiting my other friend there. We want to move to Colorado when the housing market recovers enough to do so...or retirement if it takes longer. Thinking about Fort Collins too. Don't know if we would need any ski's though.
We also just did the garage cleaning. |

The funny thing is, we each still have 3-4 ski/snowboards a piece that are not ruined. |
Evergreen is west of Denver by about 30-45 minutes. Google it. |
So who is this "we" you keep referring to???? Does Obe have snowboards, or is there something you need to tell us! |
ahh friends... |
Gee Shon, job well done, you can visit here and clear out our garage, I am dreading to even make a start. (Yes a self confessed Hoarder )
We have a "Loft" in the roof of the garage that is Chocka Block full of? (I have absolutely No Idea ) Been 20 years of Junk accumulating up there and I dread to think what is up there. I do know there is a set of broken water ski's that before I broke them I learnt to ski on the old planks. Why in the heck am I hanging onto them Now you have the bug for clearing out are you advancing beyond the wonders of the Garage? That's the worst, once you start it is catchy as to what is what and what wonders are everywhere else in the house I'll stay a hoarder and one of these days if I ever start, I might surprise myself to "what the heck & why did I keep it for all those years". |
Good for you! I just cleaned out mom's entire house and garage after she passed last week....UN- believable the things I found. It's enough to scare the pack-rat out of anybody. I'm ready to purge my entire house and garage lest someone have to do that with all of my crap.
Yet still, I kept so much of it for the same sentimental reasons. So in the end all I did was add to my own collection of junk, right? ugh |
