Anyhoo....I was wondering. Can I freeze them as is, or do I need to cut them up, or debone them? |

I think you can freeze them whole, but they might be easier to defrost if you at least quarter them.
Happy chicken eating!!! |
deb, i think it would be better to pick all the meat off of the skin....you can freeze the bones too and use them to make soup or stock, but id keep them seperate! |

I'm with Darcy. If you freeze them whole, the meat at the bone gets very, very dark. |
Is Deborah on her way to Dominick's to load up the car with $5 chickens????? Will she make chicken soup??? (aka Jewish penicillin). |
o/~ o/~ I feel like chicken tonight, like chicken tonight!!! o/~ o/~ Yes...I'm heading over there afterwork. But we're not having chicken tonight. We're going to a wedding, which I'm dreading because by the end of the day, my back is really stressed and painful. I'd rather just go home and drink scotch and eat chicken!!!! |
Oh the bones and skin make a wonderful stock! Five chickens worth...wow!
Of course any cutting and skinning......the wings go immediately to the person doing the work.......slurp. |

Thinly sliced and smoked chicken for breakfast.
Chicken salad or sliced chicken for lunch. Chicken cacciatore or just plain old chicken on a plate for dinner. Wings for a snack. Breastbone for a wish. |
