| I would be concerned enough to take him to the emergency vet tonight in case he's been poisoned, for example anti freeze which destroys the kidneys. Since emergency vets are very expensive and if it's not a possibility, the dog better be at the vet's tomorrow and mention the cat died too. Granted, it might be coincidence, but better safe than sorry.
Keep the Rottie away from food since his tummy is lurching. If water is also coming back up, let him lick or chew ice cubes for moisture. This is fine for 24 hours......of course he can't be in heat or sun during this time. Then let the vet advise you. Hopefully Rottie just has an upset tummy and after a 24 hour fast can be slowly returned to eating first with rice and then rice and ground beef. |
