| So you're in Virginia? Is that correct?
If you are considering showing you may want to talk to the breeder to get an idea of how to go about this. Otherwise check on the AKC website at www.akc.org. Check out the Events and Awards Search section and you can search by state for upcoming shows in your area. Keep in mind that it takes about 10mos-1year for the coat to grow back out to a couple of inches in length. Also, most puppies do a lot more growing up in that time frame, so it is my personal preference to show them for exposure as puppies and then put them away during winter when there is a lot less showing activity anyway. By the time summer rolls around they tend to be more competitve in the clasees as they have matured a lot. Hope this helps  |
| Go to infodog.com and you can search by state. It will tell you the type of show, dates, location, etc. It also lists the closing dates and you can enter through them. |
