I was looking for something to help comfort me about the babies and I found the book "Animals and the Afterlife: True Stories of our Best Friends' Journey Beyond Death" by Kim Sheridan. I've gotten almost half way through and It's wonderful. Even if you don't believe animals have an afterlife you will most likely enjoy the book and maybe even come away a believer. It has really helped me deal with the loss of Mangus. I bought it at Books-A-Million but It's cheaper online. It's also available at Amazon.com for about half the price. |

You're definitely hitting a rough patch. Thanks for sharing this book with us, and give Remo an extra rub from me, please. |
give Remo a kiss from me |
Hugs to you and Remo. Just know you will always make the right decision because you love him so much. Thanks for the suggestion for the book. |
The book sounds interesting. I have to admit though, I kind of like making up my own afterlife for where I think animals go!
I'm sorry that you're having such a difficult time with your animals right now. Losing my old girl this year really showed me just how hard it is to make that final decision and it's one of the worst things you'll ever have to do. Even when you know it's what has to happen, it doesn't make it any easier. Remember, we're here to talk if you need us! |
Thank you for the support. I do know what I need to do but I just can't bring myself to make the phone call. I can't wait much longer though. I've already crossed the line from doing everything I can for him to make him comfortable to just being selfish. |
