One Year Later...after Gastric By-Pass
 Friday, July 18th was the one year anniversary of my surgery. I had my final check-up yesterday and was pronoucned in excellent condition. 
All the goals I had hoped to accomplish this year have been met. I still would like to tone up more, but that is simply a work in progress. In a perfect world, I'd lose 20 more pounds, too, but if I don't, I'm not going to sweat it. I'm very happy with where I am now. All in all, it was by far the best thing I've ever done for myself. I am healthier than I've been in years. I have more energy and am more active than before the surgery. For me, it has been a very positive experience. I lost a total of 101 lbs. I've been here at my "sweet spot" for about four months now. I stay within 5 lbs of my current weight, which the doctor tells me is normal and healthy. The annual weight loss surgery gala is in November and they've asked me to be a model.  I'm not sure if I will, but it was flattering to be asked. 
I just wanted to post, one last time, as the "end" of the story. Thanks for all your support as I took this journey. You will never know how much your positive encouragement has meant to me. You're wonderful!!

Lady at pool last week swam over and I didn't recognize her, of course I didn't have my glasses on, DUH! Anyway, she started out, "I've lost 50 lbs since my surgery!" Then my mind kicked in. She had her surgery in June. I still couldn't tell how she looked........I'm very near sighted. She continued, "Would you ever consider such an operation?" NO! I leave it to her and to you Tammy!
