I believe I've found my people...
I've been a guest for quite sometime and have read many of your posts. I do believe I have found some human types that understand the depth of my love for the furry mop at my feet. And to know so many of their antics are common traits!!! When Shirley Louise Sunshine came into my life she was the culmination of a childhood dream. I saw an OES on "The Wonderful World of Disney" in about 1970 and never quit wanting one. I had no clue what I was in for. I am CRAZY about this dog! She is now 7 1/2 yrs old and such a joy. I started seeking other owners when, after tons of reading, I knew that I never wanted her to spend a minute of my life without a sheepdog (or several). I realize how lucky I was in getting a good healthy dog without buying from a breeder! And she is beautiful!! I've read all the info I can find on judging and have to declare her natural champion...except for that extra weight from all the chewies and then of course there is her size...she's huge..and her teeth are crooked...but other than that a champ!!! Just kidding, she'll always be a princess to me and of course to her. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and sharing our sheepie antics. We are kind of rare out here in ND. I've only seen 2 others in our area, but the AKC has a show here every spring and the gals from MPLS come up and share their beauties. I'm hoping to go down for the National Specialty, just to oogle.
