We want to give him some extra protein and calories right now. As many of you may remember he's a (currently) 25ish pound four month old sheepie, so we're hoping to give him every opportunity to grow, if that's in the cards. Anyone use it? Or have any advice about it? We're also thinking that (maybe) it might not hurt to blend a little in to our ten year old's kibble. He's lost a lot of weight in the last two years. Whenever his tummy gets upset he loses three or four pounds in the healing process, but he never seems to build it back up. We can't give him "real food" as it immediately causes an "explosive" result. We would, of course, be especially careful easing him into this if that's the route we go. Any and all opinions very much welcomed. |

I feed my boy Evo for dinner and raw for breakfast... (just raw makes his stools too firm) and he will actually eat that kibble.. unlike the other expensive brands I ended up giving to friends (haha) he does really well on the Evo... great coat.. lots of energy.. great stools. You don't have to feed as much either... so that's always a plus! I have heard people saying that Evo makes their dogs stools loose, but it's just trial and error, all dogs are different.. you just gotta start with what the bag says to feed and adjust it until the stools are perfect. A friend of mine mixes in California Natural with the Evo and her dog now has perfect stools. Overall.. I love Evo |
