Goosegrass/Stickyweed - galium aparine seeds

Archie found a new way into the river today out on his walk unfortunately, he decided to make his own way out barging and crashing out through the undergrowth.

I was greeted with a Green Sheepie!

covered in GooseGrass/Stickyweed seeds

He looked like a walking bag of peas.

I spent an hour raking and brushing him before leaving for work, but there are still a lot of those little beggars hiding in his coat.

Anyone got any recommendations on particular types of brush/comb to use to remove these, rather than picking one by one out of his coat?

You might try a flea comb if he isn't to matted up.
Are they 'sticky buds'? Ru gets covered in those, we use a fine tooth comb.
Most of them are now out, combination of matt rake, slicker and one of the cat brushes - shhh don't tell the cats - it is like a slicker only stiffer, his normal brush is far to soft the pins move about to much in the rubber base.

A comb was a no go on his fluff.

Not sure if his coat is changing but there are some major matt developments happening, poor hound don't half yelp and try and nip me!
