We first thought could it be a bee sting or anything or did she had her head again in the flowers etc. as she always does every day. Or could it be an irritation from flowers, fields??? My friend, who got a dog aswell, thought it would be good first to watch Charlie before running straight to the vet as they always charge immense money! Today in the morning, and still now!, nothing changed! You still can see the red point underneath the eye and also "inside", you know where normally the "tear stains" runs out, but in a normal way it would be black. Now it comes out light brown and it's another red mark there, which is really straight next to the eye! I do get wonder now as I dont know what could it be? Shall we go tomorrow to the vet as it is friday, otherwise we got to wait for monday!! Any experience from anyone??? Glad for any advise though!!! |

Is there any pus or discharge from the eye? My SIL's sheepie had something similar with a white discharge. She went to work, and came home for lunch to take Murphy to the vet. By lunchtime, his eye was still running and a large sore had opened on the top of his nose. Turns out that he had a horribly abcessed tooth and the only place that the infection could go was out the eye.
And Murph never missed a meal! Talk about stoic sheepies. Laurie and Oscar |
I would go to the Vet if she shows any change.
It could also be a bite of some sort or maybe a plant sting, is she pawing at it at all? |
No she seem to be fine!
I think it gone down today a bit, the redness is not as much as it was yesterday eye, I think. I keep on watching her,she is not pawing or scratching at all, it seems she isnt bothered by it! I guess it also could be an allergie? her eye is still running in a light colour which comes out where the other red mark is. Because she doesnt show any problems with it I will wait a couple of days. If it doesnt dissappear til monday I'm gonna go to the vet! |
