I don't know what it is either........yeah, I want to know too. |
It is an iPod Touch... it looks just like an iPhone (has most of the same guts of an iPhone too) but is just for music/video and surfing the net (over WiFi). |
Seeing I know nothing about an ipod, nor even a clue what an iphone is......I still am clueless.
But - I just bought my son's girlfriend's "old" laptop, so I am slowly making the leap! |
Here's a link to more info on the itouch....
http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/ I love it love it love it love it.... |
Ok...I know what the iphone and itouch are (I dont have either ). I have a question, why not buy the iphone (new one) less money than the itouch and its a phone? |
don't have a clue but it all sounds lovely and I'm happy that your happy |
ok ron... Apparently I cant go into the chat with it. Any fixes possible?
|
It does not (and Apple has no plans to) support flash. |
that's good to hear it's awesome. we've had once since christmas. i have no idea how to use it and it's sat in a box ...haven't opened once to even look at it.
we wanted to figure out how to use it to store a few movies for lil j. we're so busy that we don't have time to figure it out. i've never used an ipod. looks complicated. i'll have more time to examine it at our new place so mr. j can use it at the gym. assuming i'm nice enough to bother for him since i know he never will (and it was his gift from his mom that HE ASKED FOR). |

As far as why an itouch vs an iphone... a few reasons... With an iphone there would have to be a new contract to have data plans etc to use it's internet capabilities, with the itouch nothing, no additional fees. I didn't need a new phone as I just got one recently and am happy with it. The itouch has a bigger and better quality screen which makes it better for what I wanted it for. I needed a new ipod anyway, but honestly I just thought the itouch was COOL. LOL |
My husband has an iTouch, which he loves.
The 3G iPhone just came out. I have a Tilt (downside is its weight), which I love as long as my nephew doesn't get hold of it. And I can add a memory card to it. |

LOL LOL So nice of Stacey to not say WHY she needed a new IPOD....lets just say her other one had an unfortunate accident She can tell all of you why she needed a new one and how the accident happened and who was responsible for the accident! |

How many of you still remember those days when a phone was a phone and cell phones had never been invented, you could go for days without being disturbed by other people cell phones ringing and how peaceful this planet was. |
You don't need Rogers for the itouch, it was ordered directly from Apple(got it engraved and it came directly from China, placed the final order on friday and it was here on monday Apple service rocks!)....she would only need Rogers if she had the iphone. Then they charge for services that come free with the itouch. |

no monthly charge and you can use it as a phone using VOIP if you need to. |

I know, I was just wondering if it even was available now. It was a big hubbub in the iphone world. |

Jean...you crack me up! |
I'm just tickled that everyone is laughing and happy. |
I love it too!! The other problem that I found is that you can't cut and paste with it. That's a pain!!
We've done a few "modifications" to change the partition and allow more memory for other applications. Still no flash though. I'm still not a MAC person!!!!! |
I just wish technology was a little faster so we wouldn't have problems such as Maxmm wrote: The other problem that I found is that you can't cut and paste with it. That's a pain!!
