Ladies & Gents ... I'd like to introduce Farley

Adoped on Nov 19 and has been a handful since (hence why I haven't been on the BBS since just before that time!). He's a joker and a joy. Loves my slippers but we're weening him off of them. Loves to nibble on my hands but we working on that too. Loves to pee and poop pretty much anywhere ... ugh ... we're working on that too. He, just 2 nights ago, began sleeping more than 4 hours at night. Yeah! There's hope! :D

He's a big fluff ball. Forty pounds and growing. Jamie says he's going to be big but his dad was 80 and I don't think he'll go much beyond that. His paws aren't That big!

Enjoy the pics - http://www.h-n-j.com/Pics_Farley.htm!

Happy Holidays Y'All!

Cool website! I cruised your other pictures too. It looks like you have a happy household. I loved your wedding cake. From your pics, it looked like you had a beautiful ceremony and FUN reception!
I love when they sleep frog-style. It's the funniest thing. I always think it has to be uncomfortable for them, yet they keep doing it. I liked all the pics! :)
Farley is really cute, congratulations!
Heather,WOW!!another Gator fan on the OES boards who would of thought???My sister works for the university of Florida she is a Sr.sec. for the OBGYN department there, and she goes to all games and such, being Im up in Minnesota I cant make the games but I do get to hear all the fans cheering via.cell phone.Being born and raised in Miami Im a bigger dolphin fan.

Funny story from this past weekend. Last Christmas Jamie gave me a dog translator called Bow Lingual. I'm convinced it actually works. I've put it on several dogs now and - in my humble opinion - it accurately interprets what they are trying to convey. It has actually taken my understanding of the dog psyche further by making me stop projecting human emotions on to the animals and reminding me that they are very much pack animals. Anywho ...

So this past weekend I put it on Farley. He's a very talkative fellow. Lots of octave range. He really is remarkable, IMHO. ;) Well ... the first thing he ends up saying to me is ... "I'm gorgeous!"

I am not kidding you. "I'm gorgeous!"

Usually dogs say things like, "I'm strong. Are you?" or "I might bight." But noooo ... little Lord Fauntleroy tells me he's bodacious! Further translations that evening proved that he's a big fluff ball who just wants to play. "Play with me." "Pay attention to me." In response to playing fetch, "this is fun!" In response to Jamie getting down on the floor and wrestling him/tickling his belly, "this is great!"

Fur ball. I'm in love.
Wow! I hadn't ever heard of a doggie translator! Where in the world did your friend get one from? How does it work? I love it though- "I'm gorgeous"! Hah! Sounds like something Queen Iris would say! Along with "Pet me, feed me, slave!" Is there a feline version?

Karen :)
I've never heard of a translator for cats. I think they are far too complex to translate. Dogs are sort of like men ... simple needs, wants. ;)

The translator is actually for sale on petsmart.com

The only 2 downside things about the device are they you can't download the data to your computer for trending analysis at a later date and the handhelp device sucks up AAA batteries like crazy. 4 batteries last only a day or so. I had to resort to rechargeable batteries because I felt so bad about buying so many new, "disposable" batteries. (Mea Culpa Gaea.)

<trying very hard not to take offense......>
:?
 Sorry, but I can't help myself...

Doh! I meant "Men who don't own Sheepies" ... :) Obviously the breed of men who care for Sheepies are already enlightened.
p.s. Some of my best friends are men and I love'm to bits.
