So You Think You Can Dance?

Oh yeah...Robbie & I watch it every week. He's totally into the hot women dancers. 
I don't know anybodies' names, but the couples who danced first and third last night were my favorites. |
| Jack got me hooked after his girlfriend got him hooked. We come home from rehearsal after ten o'clock and watch it.
We are so addicted Jill, that this past week we were standing in the middle of rehearsal and I say to Jack "Oh my God, we forgot to tell Dad to tape SYTYCD!" It is 7:45 and we are trying frantically to call him. Of course Jack says "He should know by now to tape it for us!!!"  Fortunately when we got a hold of him at 8:00 he informed us that he did remember. 
So yes we are pathetically addicted. Our favorites are Josh and Katie. I am also into Courtney & Gev. We both like Will too but Jessica is holding him back. We had to agree with Nigel that they should be voting two women off and no men. |

| No Way! I hate to say it but that's perfect. I really don't like Jessica and was sad to see Comfort go even though I think she'll be the next anyway if they do bring her back. |
| It is true. But it was a huge week for elimination because the Top 10 get to go on the tour. According to the news report I read, Comfort gets to go on that tour now and Jessica is out of that too.
I didn't care for either of them although I thougt Comfort should have been gone long before last week. She was a one trick pony. |

| I agree that Comfort is an odd name. I just thought she did a really good job of adapting to different styles whereas Jessica never really impressed me. |
| Actually, they claim that the top 10 are the only ones to go on tour but last year #11 & 12 were there as understudies and got to do some of their own dances. |

i know this is a tangent but it just reminded me of something... i was in safeway last week, checking out my food...the cashiers name for real was Misery....i even got up the courage to ask her if it was pronounced Misery and she gave me a really dirty look and hissed yes....lol.....i think id go by my middle name..... |

| I doubt it will be Twitch - I think Mark is a definite.
Hard to say if it will be Comfort or Kherington. Kherington has been having a lot of off nights in my opinion. |

Harry's girlfriend Courtney was a finalist in the Snuggle Happy Dance Contest!!!!!!!
As many of you know, Harry thinks Jack's girlfriend is really his girlfriend. I have posted their pictures here before and she came to Sheepiepalooza. 
We have all been watching So You Think You Can Dance and Courtney entered the Snuggle contest - unfortunately she did not win a trip to view the finals. | For such a goofy little contest the rules were rather strict - no lettering on the clothing, needed to be a plain background, no other people, etc.
So Harry was not an option. 
Jack and I were dying to see if her video would be seen during the show and they did show a snippet of it. I am not surprised she didn't win. While she tried to act as "happy" and dorky as she could you just can't beat a "dad" type doing the Snuggle Happy Dance. |

I figured Comfort would go again, though, cause Kherrington was so good when she was paired with Twitch, and Comfort's been struggling all season. That's funny because I was thinking of sending in an entry with Robbie doing his happy dance and then that guy won last night.  Courtney did good, though! She's got moves.  |

So Harry was not an option. They said a plain background, but they did not say a plain FOREground.
They also said no other people. I have to admit they did say the dancer had to be the star, so that's a toughie, but a panting sheepdog just watching on a bed in the foreground.... Seems to me meets the letter of the law!

| Okay, so what does everyone think from last night? I think, once again, it will be Comfort and Mark who's in trouble. I didn't see much wrong with their fox trot, but again, I just know what entertains me, I don't know the "correct" things to be looking for. And the reason I think they'll be in trouble is that although the judges can't decide, their opinions have a lot of weight with the voting public (think "American Idol").
What did you think of that guest judge last night? Toni something-or-other, the one who sang "Mickey" back in the 80's. I didn't like her - every critique she said had something to do with "street." I really didn't think she was qualified enough to be there. |
| Toni Basil was a choreographer well before Mickey-- since the 60s! She's done a lot of really good things, including that Talking Heads video where they danced like puppets and for a lots of films. I know American Graffiti is one of them but I'd have to look up more. She's way into "street" because she's one of the people that they credit with bring street dance and locking into the public eye. Did you hear her plug "The Lockers?" That's her thing.
I think she's probably a better choreographer than a judge though. I think she got too caught up watching and didn't judge enough. I'm having a real hard time picking my "winner." I like Mark but I think he and Comfort will go next, too. I like Katie and Chelsie but all of the guys are really good, too. I can't pick! |

I thought Mark should have left last week. Who do you want for the final guy and final girl? I would like to see Will be the last guy standing but it IS a popularity contest and I don't think he is the most popular. I think the last girl will be Katie but I would kind of like Courtney. I like Chelsea but she is a better partner dancer than a soloist with all of her ballroom training. |
| I think Mark & Comfort are going tonight. And they should. Especially Comfort. She's been in over her head for awhile now. Their foxtrot last night was not good at all.
The three remaining guys are all good. Josh & Will are my favs, but I think Will is probably going to be the last man standing. All three girls that are left are terrific dancers. I really can't pick who is best among them. They each have their strengths, but I think Katee will most likely win the girls. When do they stop eliminating a male & female each week? Edited: Do what?? Will is gone???  |

I couldn't agree more Chris. But it wasn't just Will gone over Mark - Mark wasn't even in the bottom two!!!!! 
I may stop watching this like I stopped watching American Idol because the majority of people voting are idiots. We have been unable to vote this whole time because we are gone from the house every Wednesday but Jack and I are determined to vote this week because we will be home. |

| I thought Will was kind of boring to watch-- like the talent and technique was all there but I found that I never watched him, only his partners. I think that's why he got voted off because he just wasn't "visible." |
| Mark is awful - I do not want to watch awful. Although I did not find Will boring I can understand that you did. But how is it that Mark did better than Twitch? I would have dumped him three or four weeks ago.
And if he didn't deserve to go - then why was Mark so shocked himself he wasn't in the bottom two? |
| Wow! That's all I can say - wow! Everyone, including Mark, blew me away last night.
How ironic is it that of the 3 guys left, two of them have no formal training (Josh and Twitch)!! Josh was on FIRE last night. Twitch was good, but not as good as Josh. And Mark - what can I say? I didn't think he had that level of skill in him. As for the girls, they all did SO great. I still favor Katee, though. |

My favorite girl is Courtney but I think any one could win and I wouldn't be disappointed. So let's guess who is going home tonight: I say Twitch and I think it is either Courtney or Katee for the girl. |
| So what did everybody think? No surprises that Mark went, although I did think he did really well on Wed night. Didn't know who I wanted to go from the girls, but I knew I didn't want it to be Katee. I'm really enjoying this season - everyone is just so darned GREAT!! |
| I was surprised that Mark went only because he seemed to have such a popular fan base. But I was glad even though he did well on Wednesday he has been skating on thin ice up until then as far as I was concerned.
I was surprised but not disappointed by Chelsea. While she is incomparable in partner/ballroom dancing I felt like she never expanded her solo numbers. It was like she was using the railing as a partner. The crazy thing was that she looked good in other styles but never displayed that versatility for her solos. That may have hurt her. It will probably be Josh and Katee. Katee is the better dancer but I like Courtney a lot. None of them will have problems getting work. This competition was probably the most beneficial to Josh and Twitch - they can market themselves a lot more with this kind of experience to other methods and exposure from being on television. It has been an exciting season Chris. |
| I was a little surprised that Chelsie went last night. I thought that Courtney would go first, although I don't necessarily think she should have. I agree that they're all excellent dancers. It has been a good competition to watch. |
