Doug had to impress everyone with what a hard worker he is and take his work to the beach. Actually he did have a couple of WEB conferences he had to do, his co workers were quite envious that he was doing them surf side in his bathing suit. The black and white cocker is my son's dog, I got to dog sit for a few days while they went to Hilton Head. Edisto Beach (proper) was qutie croweded, see all those people!!!!!!!! Doug thinks I'm nuts but I am accustomed to a very "private" beach and there were tons of people there this year So we ended up taking the boat to Otter Island, off the coast and much more "private: My DIL is QUITE pregnant, and not afraid to show it (actually I was amazed at all the pregnant girls in bikinis, in "my day" we wore tents to the beach ) Ty LOVED the boat rides: Tasker LOVED napping in the comfort of the airconditioned house: We celebrated my Dad's 86th Birthday: And enjoyed some BEAUTIFUL sunsets from his dock: Today, it's back to work |

That last pic is pretty sweeet! Would have loved to be there!!!!
Happy Birthday to your dad! My maltese would have loved to join ty on that boat. She LOVES wind in her face. Your DIL looks great. Have you made anything for the baby yet? |
it looks like you guys had an awesome time...although i had to laugh at your idea of a crowded beach....chris just got back from oceanside and he said on the 4th when they woke up. the beach was already packed with hundreds of people...
my question is this.... why do you NEED a deserted beach???? a little blue lagoon action maybe....?????????????? your dad looks fantastic and im quite jealous of that sunset...with a glass of wine and some appetizers, what a way to see the day end!! |
What wonderul vacation pics. Ty looks so cute on the boat ride and Tasker looked so comfy in his a/c. Your daughter in law looks so beautiful..I wish we had felt the same way about ourselves as this generation does.
Happy Birthday to you Dad. Seeing that pic reminded me so much of my Dad who went to Heaven in '03, brought tears to my eyes...my Dad always wore the suspenders and had a cane just like your Dad's. It looks like everyone had a great time. |
I loved your pictures! What a great vacation. Hey, I'm old too, but I think the young women today are smart! I think pregnant bodies are beautiful! |

Sorry, I never have figured out how to do "multiple quotes" I've made TONS, I did so much knitting on vacation that my thumb and forfinger are sore!!!! I've made several blankets with matching sewaters and hats but the seaters aren's put together yet because I have to wait to find out if it's a boy or girls then QUICK do the button bands and put them together, damn kids want it to be a surprise!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Tell those kids to have the test and just let the doc tell YOU so you can finish your projects.
My nephew and wife and are same. Baby due Aug 1. Baby shower was dull colors......of course she's also into 100% natural, no dyes stuff. Thought about sending a gunny sack. |

Thought about sending a gunny sack. hahahaha, I already tried that one!!!!!!!!!! Mer's baby shower is in about a month, their "teory" is that if no one knows the sex they will get less clothes and more "big ticket" items. LOL they don't realize JUST HOW MUCH there is out there in yellow and green!!!! |
Ginny, GREAT pics so glad you had a wonderful time, tasker and Ty too I also like my beach private, when we go to Hilton Head we stay at Sea Pines Plantation, Private beach, I love it. |
Fantastic pictures, Ginny! I'm so jealous to think that you grew up there! Your Dad looks great for 86, and your DIL looks just perfect!
It's always SO hard going back to work, isn't it? |
Beautiful pictures, Ginny. Looks like everyone had a great time.
Happy Birthday to Dad! |
Terrific pictures. I am jealous of any beach.... semi crowded or totally empty. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed them!! |
Ahhh, looks like a fun vacation! |
What a great vacation you had, Ginny. It always goes by too fast, though, doesn't it? I like the looks of Otter Island. That's one of my favorite things about the coastal Carolinas, all those sandbar beaches that pop up when the tide is out. You can have your own private paradise. |
Wowsers!!! I'm so jealous! Beach, sun , sand, dogs, family and that beautiful sunset!
The place looked fabulous Ginny and I can hear a happy lilt in your "web" voice - you needed this vacation!! Only thing was missing - me. Marianne |
