http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXl-3PryXpw This video not so much… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjAMe8DAxvo oh well now I know... |

No, she doesn't seem interested in it. |
Mom I'm far too beautiful to be herding sheep! |
It was like she was in a show ring, not a sheep pen. She was happy just to trot around next to the sheperd.
Laika is such a pretty girl. Laurie and Oscar |
God bless her, Laika is too nice with the Sheeps, if you let Charlie in, she would get CRAZY and run wild after them!! LOL |
I love how in the first video she seems to like the camera better then the sheep. Watch out you may have a movie star. Haha Loved seeing her trying, so so cute. |
I don't think thats Laika's idea of a fun time , she still looks beautiful |
I can't see the video from work - but it doesn't mean she can't learn to have interest. also my girl appeared to have little interest. my new instructor makes sure no other dogs are around and boy has that made a difference. now she sometimes has too much interest
If you are interested in herding find the right (some one with experience with upright herders) instructor and try it a few times - the dogs and I enjoy it although we will probably never be great at it. |
She gave it a good effort at the start of the first video, but I think she got distracted by the crowd...but hey who wants to play with sheep when there are people to give her a good scratch standing around doing nothing. |
well at least you can herd sheep |
The first video made me laugh out loud. Herding is not one of Laika's talents. She is so pretty.
We've only had Phoebe for 1 1/2 years although she is around 6 years old. We went to obedience classes (did well); tried agility (too busy watching all the other dogs). Since I thought she would enjoy a job we started visiting patients in a nursing home. Agility was not her talent but she is wonderful with the patients. Phoebe found her niche and Laika will, too. |
She did not look happy at all. |
Heh, not much interest there.
Hey, I was thinking, it just dawned on me... both of my guys have had a real strong (and strange!!!) recation to the aluminum pole I use to open and close my venting skywindows (skylites)... I wonder if it has anything to do with the pole that these herding folks use???!!??? Could there be an instinct of some sort to a pole? |
