OK - now you need to tell us what blade!!!!
No pictures :?:
i dont know what number it is...its an andis blade that cuts to 3/4''..it fits my oster golden... i used to put the guard on but panda always looked choppy and had lines running thru her....now she just looks smooth and velvety!!

her face is still growing out from last months hack job but she looks less and less like skelator every day
pictures :)
Wow! I didn't realize that blade existed. I just googled it and will add it to my shopping later today or tomorrow.

The Andis 3/4 inch blade is a 19 mm blade. For reference, a #3 is around 12 to 13 mm, so the Andis leaves about 5 or 6 mm more!

Yes, we want pixs! MO is long over due and Jack is due now.
It should be the 3 3/4 blade. It's really nice, isn't it? You can thank ChSheepdogs-- she recommended it to me and I was really happy with it, too. You get to keep a decent amount of hair but it's still really neat and easy to maintain. Clyde's already growing out beautifully.
I have a 3F blade that leaves 5/8" (I think).

It's really nice in a bunch of ways, the most important to me is it stays cool for a long long time!

No need to thank me....... I'm always glad to help in anyway I can. The way to get the best look with this blade is to shave the dog with the 3-3/4 blade, bathe the dog, TOTALLY dry the dog & then shave them with the 3-3/4 blade again. You will be amazed what hair you get off the 2nd time around. It leaves a nice finish to the coat that looks like velveteen. About 2 months later you have the cutest puppy cut (as it is growing out) & at about 4-5 months you will probably be ready to shave them again.
Always happy to get grooming tips!!
Ordered the blade yesterday, can't wait.

Just remember that in order to use the 3-3/4 blade, the coat has to be virtually mat free. It won't got thru mats. If you run into one, stop & brush or comb it out & then continue shaving. Ideally, I line brush & slicker my dog the night before.
No probem both are pretty short right now. Mo's is longer but I'm not finding mats (since I took her collar off  ) Jack is a curly coat and tho short, probably should try to straighten that out. Thanks for the tip.
Darcy where did you get the blade at? Ryan's Pet or someplace else? I really want one too now as I just shaved Edgar and he has that choppy line look.

So what are you going to use them on? Bear? Actaully in a couple of weeks you could use the #10 blade & clean out between the pads of Clyde's feet.

Ha ha-- actually Bear will be the first guinea pig. He needs his feet and belly done. He gets his foot cut like a poodle and then the top cords fall over the top to cover the nude foot. It keeps him and my house much cleaner because nothing drags. Otherwise, if he walks in mud, it looks like he finger painted all over the house!

That just cracked me up

Plus he won't slip around on the bare floors. You could paint his toe nails too, just your secret.

It's really not as funny as it sounds! You know what it ends up looking like? Like those old Family Circus comics where they showed the path that Billy would take to get places and it went up walls, on the furniture under tables...

This morning he ran though some mud because we're redoing landscaping (we normally don't have tons of mud in the yard) and he bolted and in and ran the length of the sofa-- all 14 feet of the sectional, leaving a muddy smear the whole way. Thank God for leather.
Sounds funny to me
