ESL school offered me full time hours during the summer, but I declined and said nope I'm happy working couple times a week. I keep saying I needed a break remember? (talks to self)...needs to repeat this. I took Merlin to the groomers on Wed and end up staying to assist as I was a bit pressed for time due to wanting to rush home and assist carpenter. I had also just taught ESL in the morning and my day was so booked. Meant I wouldn't have to travel back and forth so I helped bathe dogs and did other stuff while there. She said, "are you interested in becoming an assistant?". " I can use someone like you that knows dogs and I can teach you". I was so tempted but thought I'd better not. Have enough on my plate. I rush home and the carpenter is waiting for me. After we finish out days work he tells me he's been impressed of my knowledge of tools and building stuff. He offered me a job assisting him this summer! He had just recieved word that he and his partner were successful in their bid for a huge condo development project. I said yes and you know people, I'm a glutton for punishment! Besides I love learning anything to do with renos. Minutes ago, recieved a phone call for a job interview as an Inner city school liason for Sept. OMG!! I had also applied for all three jobs with this title that were coming up in Sept. I had always wanted to do this although the hours are only part time. The other two are full time but their interviews are being held in Aug. What to do? I was happy about the position at the elementary school blocks away but my heart always loves working with teens. Anyhow it's only for an interview and doesn't mean I have the job...but got some thinking to do. My interview is tomorrow after I finish teaching ESL at a learning academy so means rushing from one place to another. Ummm repeats mantra...promised to take it easy this summer...(more self talk). |

You always amaze me... |
Marianne you are one of a kind , I don't know where you get your energy to do all the things you do. but you go girl |
I am totally amazed at you --- always. |
Oh hush you guys are gonna make me big headed and soon I'll resemble one of those bobble head thingies! LOL
My boys each have medical issues so can't help and I was tired of people offering assistance and then never came through. Things were falling apart in my house while I was waiting and I disliked asking or reminding those that had offered to help me. Financially strapped, I eventually realized I needed to learn to fix stuff. Read tons of books, attended free demos at Home Depot and watch home reno shows 24/7. 8 years later I'm still doing stuff and learned along the way - now I'm hooked! Besides it's all for the critters and that makes it easier. Here's my latest new delux super duper bunny condo. Various enclosures for new bunnies to see one another until they bond - then gates can open up for everyone to free range in the enclosure. 90% completed - still have some adaptions to do. Will eventually enclose and place roofing material on the furthest one in the pic. I keep saying if I can do it...trust me - anyone can!!! |
If I only had your energy!!!!!!!
