Happy 4th! I am staying in, completing 3 dog's portraits, watching the Twilight Zone Marathon, and observing how my 2 deal with fireworks. I didn't have either one last 4th of July. I think I may try to stay cool.  |

| HAPPY 4TH TO ALL!!!
We are going to our farm where I grew up..and having our annual hotdog roast...and also celebrating what would have been my dad's 89th birthday.....he almost made it.  Kind of a sad day today with it being his birthday. Anyhow...we will shoot some fireworks off as soon as it's dark enough. Hopefully, we won't get in trouble....they are "illegal" in Colorado so we had to go to Cheynne Wyoming to buy them (Shhhhh....don't tell anyone).  I think we are pretty safe tho being out in the country. My neighbors accross the street also buy their's in Wyoming...but somehow manage to not get in trouble right here in town. Our old guy Andy won't be afraid of them...one benefit of him being deaf.....loud noises don't bother him anymore. |
| I wish we could have the 4th of July with silent fireworks. Bear barks every time he hears one go off in the neighborhood. I don't recall him being this crazy last year with the noise but, then again, Bear seems to pick up more crazy habits all the time. He's a weirdo! |

This is our last day at the beach
We head home tomorrow morning birght and early. I will most likely spend most of the day doing wash, packing and getting ready to leave. With luck I will be able to spend a little time on the beach. The time has gone soooooooo fast 
It has been FOREVER since I was able to sleep 14 nights in a row without getting called out for a squad call, what bliss!!!! |

We have a family and friends potluck party at our place every 4th. Usually about 40-50 people flow through. It is our one big entertainment that we host each year. Of course, you must understand that about 30 of them are family - Todd has 7 siblings and we all have 3-4 kids, and now their spouses and grandkids are starting to appear.  |

| Happy Independence Day, everyone!
We'll be grilling out today and waiting to see how Tonks & Luna respond to their first July 4th! There's a fireworks display that is put on about 2 miles from our house. The girls aren't the least bit afraid of Thunder, so I'm hoping for the best with the noise of the celebration tonight! |

Seeing the picnic/party is at our house on the 4th, I was a very happy camper!!! (We divide up holidays w/ Todd's big family.) We have the 4th - we have the perfect spot to do fireworks. |
