On the 19th Sadie went into complete Renal Failure. She basically was on a downward spiral all of last week. She went from running around like a lunatic at 100 miles per hour at the dog park to sitting at my sister's feet. She had been urinating in her sleep and not even realizing it after they gave her hydrating fluid injection. Her final night she threw up everything she ate and had a very pathetic help me look on her face and my sister brought her to the vet. They said they could rehydrate her but she would be back in the same situation within two weeks so she decided to put her down. She will be missed. At least she got to meet her cousin Pepsi and play with him last weekend. Elissa |

This is heartbreaking! I'm so sorry for your sister's loss. Sadie was greeted by many friends at the Bridge! Please send my deepest condolences to your sister and her family! Sadie was not on this earth for very long - but she will always be with your sister in spirit!
God Speed Sadie! You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Kristen, Presley and Sydney |
Thank You Kristen!
My sister had just dropped my son off at the house and saw the message. She also thanks you She was crying when she came out to my backyard and said she had read the post. Elissa |
Do you have any pictures of sadie? I'd love to have one here of her for all to know her and for some to remember her by. |
Sorry to hear about her loss. It's hard enough to lose a pet to begin with and losing one prematurely is just worse. |
Hi,
I'm really sorry to hear about the loss of Sadie and the difficult time she went through. Please pass on the message to your sister that all of us here can relate to your sisters loss and our thoughts are with her. Marianne |
Sorry I know how much the loss hurts a week ago we had to put our ol man sheepie down he was 13 1/2 and I really miss him especially today but I know I did the right thing! He was the love of my life! I'm sorry for your sister's loss!

Thank you everyone. I appreciate the support and so does my sister.
This one is not so good. She looks angry. I actually think she was because she was over my house and Harley wouldn't leave her alone. He kept trying to chew on her head. Here is a picture I took of my sister with Sadie and Pepsi last weekend. I tried to get the gold reflection out of her eyes but it didn't look realistic when I tried so I am done trying to play with it. Elissa |
Sadie was a doll! I'm glad you found some good pictures.
I also like the way that Pepsi decided to stick HIS tongue out for the photo-- just like a brat little BROTHER! |
Thanks for getting the pictures posted Ron.
He did have a lot of fun with his cousin Sadie that day and my sister ran with them all over the neighborhood. I am glad they got to meet at least once. Pepsi slobbered her with kisses the entire day. Elissa |
Duly noted and corrected! I didn't mean to offend his obvious machismo!
I hope your sister is doing as well as can be expected. You too. |
Don't worry Ron... I took that out of the post. It is OK that you called him a girl.
I am sure he is not offended, as he is now neutered and I guess can be considered...a whatever.... |
I think Sadie looks very noble and dignified in the first pic. The second pic is beautiful - she looks as if she has stars shining in her eyes. Bye Sadie girl give my hellos to my friends at the Rainbow Bridge.
