thin hair just behind shoulders

We have a five month old OES. She is on Frontline and has had all her shots. I've noticed her hair is noticeably thin just behind her shoulders--it's right at the junction where she goes from white to black so I don't know if maybe because it is grey it just looks thinner. It is bilateral and the patches are probably the size of a fist on both sides. Is this normal? She is NOT bald in this areas...her hair just seems thin. I've googled and can't find anything about this. I may just being overly anxious or is this a vet issue (emergency or something dicuss at her next check up--she has to be spayed soon). Thank you.

Some OES have thinner coats than others. A lot of it depends on the breeding, or thyroid can cause coat problems. My dogs have two completely different coats. One is dense and wavy and the other is in transition from puppy to adult. My last one had an even thinner coat. It may be thinner at those points in the puppy coat, and thicken up later. It may also be something you want your vet to look at. Do you have any pictures you can post?
