Maybe a stupid question but what is the difference between a Blue color and Gray Color? How do you tell? Pepsi's Mom |

Hi,
I'm not sure of the correct answer either. I'm thinking as mom of a BlueHeeler/ Lab and two sheepies - that Blue is darker and grey is the lighter coat. Don't quote me however! I do know that at aprox 6-9 months their coats change from a darker color to very light grey. Sorry couldn't be of more help. Marianne |
i cant give you an exact answer either, but going off of marianne's answer..
if you look at a blue heeler and then look at a grey old english, it kind of makes sense... seems like the blue color is usually accompanied by really light speckling of a darker or lighter color (no, i'm not thinking of merle ). my $.02, not worth much but there you go waiting for the experts... |
I asked this question on another sheepie group and got an answer from a lady who knows her stuff about sheepies. Iasked the question as my sheepie is blue and this method of looking confirms it. I had the chat with his groomer as well and she knows sheepies too.
