* 6T soy sauce * 4T rice wine (or red wine vinegar if you don't have rw) * 2T brown sugar * 2t cornstarch * 1T olive oil * 1T minced fresh ginger root * 1T minced garlic * 1lb beef round steak, cut into thin strips (thinner is better) * 8oz bag of fresh snow peas Combine soy sauce, wine, bs, and cornstarch in bowl. Heat oil in skillet. Stir in ginger and garlic for 30 sec. Add the strips of steak and fry for 2 min (or evenly browned which 2 min w/thin strips works perfectly). Add snow peas and whatever veggies you want and stir-fry for an additional 3 min. Add the soy sauce mixture, bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Lower heat & simmer until the sauce is thick and smooth. Serve immediately with rice. |

Just had something similar tonight... made with shaved steak!!! |
I have such an impulse to reach into the screen and grab the plate and chow down. Looks delicious and I'm hungry ! |
I forgot that the above pic also has a can of bamboo shoots. Just thought I'd say as another option to put in there. I added salt to them too. |
I am praying that your hubby gets a job in LA so I can come eat at your house every night. |
That looks wonderful! Can't wait to try it! |
