2 lbs lean ground beef 2 teaspoons steak seasoning 2-4 garlic cloves, minced 1/2 cup sliced sweet onions , grilled or sauteed 4 ounces diced green chillies or jalapenos 4 slices monterey jack pepper cheese 4 pineapple slices 1 cup teriyaki sauce 4 leaves romaine lettuce 4 kaiser rolls 2 tablespoons butter Directions: 1. Prepare the onions ahead of time 2.Mix beef with steak seasoning and garlic and shape into 8 very thin patties. 3. On top of 4 patties, place 1 slice of cheese 1/4 of the onions and green chillies 4.Top with remaining 4 patties, sealing edges well to create 4 fat hot stuffed burgers 5. Grill burgers to desired doneness, these fry well too 6.Meanwhile, also grill pineapple slices . 7. Spread kaiser buns lightly with butter and grill or toast 8. Assemble burgers by slathering on teriyaki sauce on each roll. Add one pineapple slice and lettuce leaf, top with one burger. Serve with leftover teriyaki sauce for dipping. These burgers are huge and very messy so you will need lots of napkins or better yet , paper towels . |

These remind me of a hawaiin burger at Carl's Jr. Sounds good! |
Oh my - YUM!!!
I need to try this one. |
That sounds wonderful! |
yum. I'm a die hard fan of green chile cheeseburgers.......I'm living in a great place, huh? But I prefer whole chiles over diced. Granted prep is a bit more as you have to roast and peel the pepper first. Why whole not diced?.........messiness. I HATE messy food! It ends up on my front porch, not falling back onto the plate.
This sounds delightful and worth a try! |
