This isn't normal???? In dog training circles many of us know each other by our dogs' names. I attended a drop-in class at a friend's request the other night and we were introduced as "Sybil" and "Sadie" People know which end of the leash really matters Kristine |
Joan tell me that yesterday a woman came up to her at the trash transfer station in town and said: "Hi Mulligan!" and gave him lots of rubs. Joan had no idea who this lady was, and (I guess) asked her how she knew Mulligan, and the answer was: "Everybody knows Mulligan!"
Joan still doesn't know who the lady was! Sorry if it was you, Dear Reader! |
This happens all the time to us. Everyone knows Ralph (being about the only sheepie in 3 counties helps) and we know most people at the park by their dog's name, not theirs.
Ralph just got shaved again on Tuesday. Everyone comments on how different he looks. We've taken to calling him "freckles." |
