Anyways we packed up the car and started home, or so i thought....... i hit every imaginable wrong road there was. We started across one bridge and were told "DETOUR" so i'd go back and down another road. I finally stopped at a State Patrol office to ask. USUALLY my GPS on my phone would work but it QUIT yesterday of all days....... The State HP told me I could either turn around and go BACK 200 miles, or i could come down to St. Louis MO. So guess what? I showed up on Val's doorstep (after she refused me going to the redroof inn) last night. I am worn out. Sleeping today and tonight and heading out tomorrow am EXTREMELY early to make it home........ HOPEFULLY tomorrow. At least I made it across the Mississippi! Life, it's always an adventure |

I met Val at the 2008 Sheepiepalooza and if I have any ability to judge character, you found a soft place to land! Have fun with Val and Heart and Pearl, Val will keep you in stitches. |
Sounds exhausting..... congrats on Checkers win again |
Methinks someone is getting a little blase about winning
Congratulations, again! I'm sorry you had such a torturous drive home. Even getting to agility class (20 miles?) this past week was an adventure. We had people down from the Twin Cities and Eau Claire and sent them the long way home so they could avoid some of the worst of the detours. Hopefully the Midwest will dry up soon. At least you got to see Val and the puppies had a nice reunion. Kristine |
Oh Christine NO......... never!! I am just so exhausted, and tired and sore.
and Exhausted. I am feeling too old for this long driving stuff anymore....... And to feel like How the He** am i going to get home? I have never had that problem in my life! I felt so helpless. No matter what road i turned to it was CLOSED....... DETOUR and I WASNT going to turn around and drive BACK 200 miles to cross a river! And my cell phone GPS going out made me feel even MORE helpless...... Verizon and I are going to have a BIG discussion. Bless Val and her wonderful lhusband for being there to rescue me. To see a freindly smiling face of someone you know. It is great to see Heart too......(and Pearl and Cosmo) and for Checkers and Calypso to see her too....... they all remembered each other and are having a good reuinion. We're having our own Sheepiepoolza.... Back to napping. |
Congrats on the win Ali....and I'm glad you stopped at Val's to catch up on some rest, and of course to have a nice visit as well, along with all the kiddo's. Have a safe drive home!!! Speaking of visit's...you and I need to go to lunch. We practically live a stone's throw away from each other for cryin out loud. I have a little more time on my hands now that my dad passed away......still busy with mom...but have gotten a little breather.
Drive safely!!! T. |

If you've got to have a detour, you couldn't have planned a better one, huh? Fun for all concerned. I'd say it was a blessing in disguise. |
We all love Val & her B&B!
