Trapped

We’re doing a major backyard make-over and tearing out all of the old chain-link fence. The section to Chap’s right used to be fence that was covered with Wisteria, so you really couldn’t even see through it. It went from the house to the detached garage. Chap was in the house for the first part of the demolition, and when he ran out the back door, he ran up to where the fence used to be, sniffed, looked around, sniffed some more and backed away. Then he walked over to the gate that hadn’t been taken down yet, and waited patiently for someone to open it. He waited and waited….finally about 10 minutes went by, DH opened the gate and Chap dashed out.

SOMEONE PLEASE LET ME OUT, I AM TRAPPED!

Now how cute is that :D
LOL. That's hilarious. Out of the two of mine, that's something Bear would do. He'd be like, "I know that going through the gate works and that's what I'm sticking with!"
Waited patiently? Wow! Jack and MO would have put up a terrible racket, "Let us out!!"

Removed a wisteria.....now there's a fun project! Is that morningglories coming up the chain link now??

Oh that wisteria was nearly the death of me. It was woven throughout the fence - about a 20 foot stretch. It draped about 5 feet on either side of the fence. I cut and cut and cut and cut that stuff until I blistered my hands.

Yes, that's morning glory that is left on the fence. It shall soon meet it's demise as well! <insert wicked laugh here>

I wonder if I transplant the wisteria root ball if it will come back.
   Maybe    They are tough plants.

"woven through the fence"....oh I have honeysuckle like that. The plants are gone but they "wooded over" the wire so we have chucks of wood stuck on the fence. I've tried buring them off. I fear I will have to sacrifice a few hand saws to get them all off.
 How funny!
What a great story to brighten up a Monday.

I am sharing this one with my mom - I only share the best of the best since she doesn't have a computer so it must be a manual print and delivery.
This is an excellent example of Invisible Fence! I guess they really do work!
Pathetically, I just let all three dogs out together. Winston and Lacy walked right through the new opening. Chap waited at the gate.

He's gonna have a problem this evening when the gate and the other half of that fence come down!
Oooohh thats sweet!!!
that is precious. Your doggie knows you got to go through the gate, and if his humans didn't have the decency to explain that there was a gap next to the gate what is he supposed to do?
Joan and I had a really hearty laugh at this! I really enjoyed showing the picture to Joan and telling the story!!!

I'll bet not! I am thinking (no, hoping) that it's the path, and he'll just walk right through.

But I wouldn't bet more than a buck on it!

Thank you very much for sharing.
